This PowerPoint explores an internship held by Emily Carolin at the Mayborn Museum Complex for the summer of 2017 in the Exhibits, Communication, and Visitor Services department. While at the Mayborn Museum, Emily aided in the completion of several internal exhibits, including: Find a Way, Not an Excuse: Women in STEM and Off the Range: Art and Architecture of the Trail. She also supervised the arrival and set-up of the traveling exhibit SPEED: Science of Motion and created STEM programming to be facilitated by teen volunteers for the duration of this exhibit. In addition, Emily used 1890s farming practices to take care of the Cook’s House garden in the Governor Bill & Vara Daniel Historic Village. The PowerPoint explores these responsibilities, as well as numerous others during her tenure as a intern at the Mayborn Museum Complex.
