This thesis analyzes various Spanish short stories written by the twentieth-century author B. Traven, using literary analysis techniques derived from models presented in Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory. These various literary techniques, which ultimately usher the reader into a better interpretation of the short stories, include: character development analysis, character comparison analysis, literary device analysis, and key question analysis. Because these techniques listed function through the lens of Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, this thesis inevitably argues that Wilber’s Integral Theory is an effective theory to use in literary analysis.en_US
