Baylor University Theatre’s production set The Learned Ladies in the 1950’s in the personal library of the well-to-do Chrysale. This thesis is comprised of the lighting design for Baylor University Theatre’s production of The Learned Ladies; from the initial research and concept, to the implementation of that design, and a final reflection looking at its successes and failures. Special attention is given to the process by which the design was brought about and the motivation for its various elements. Also included is a look at the effect of the ETC Ion’s new magic sheets, their effect on cueing, and the creative process of the lighting design for this show.en-USBaylor University projects are protected by copyright.
