This thesis considers the play within Hatcher’s cannon and for its particular contribution to the divergent mythologies that exist around Robert Louis Stevenson’s Jekyll and Hyde tale. A brief examination of the life and work of Hatcher and the production history for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is included in the document along with an analysis of the script.
