It often puts them in dangerous situations and makes caretaking difficult. This literature review identified a variety functional behavior assessment methodologies and function-based interventions for elopement among children with developmental disabilities. A replication study based on the procedures of Lehardy et al. (2013) was conducted. The procedures accurately evaluated the function of elopement for one of the two participants.
