Background information involving ceremonial rituals, cremation, ceramic, tomb construction, and human remains will be discussed to provide a wider context for understanding the Etruscan burial practices. This information will then be used to analyze data collected by the San Giuliano Archaeological Research Project (SGARP) to determine the treatment of women, specifically at San Giuliano.
