Resources used were analyses of four published middle-grade novels that formed the reading list, in addition to comments from outside readers and from the thesis director. The thesis follows a 600-year-old fairy with a bad attitude named Chryssa, who is sent to the human world by her queen to break a curse on a young girl named Astra. In the process, her life is turned upside down, and she herself is changed for good.en-USBaylor University projects are protected by copyright.
