El propósito es encontrar las causas de dicha evolución a lo largo del tiempo y cómo los diccionarios han respondido a las necesidades de una época o de unos usuarios a través de la historia. Para realizar este análisis me centraré sólo en los aspectos que conciernen a la microestructura, es decir, a la ordenación de los elementos que forman un artículo lexicográfico y así mostrar esta evolución a través de los diferentes diccionarios bilingües español-inglés o viceversa publicados desde el siglo XVI hasta la actualidad, con los diccionarios digitales, intentando mostrar cómo se han ido produciendo cambios en los diferentes aspectos que componen un diccionario para adecuarse a una época y a un público.This work is an analysis of the evolutionary process that Spanish-English/English- Spanish bilingual dictionaries have had from their inception to the present day. The purpose is to find the causes of such an evolution over time and how dictionaries have responded to the needs of an age or its users throughout history. To perform this analysis, I plan to focus only on the aspects concerning the microstructure, that is to say, the ordering of the elements that form a lexicographic entry. In this way, I will attempt to show the development of dictionaries by means of various Spanish-English and English- Spanish bilingual dictionaries published since the fifteenth century to present day digital dictionaries.
