Yet as with many stories, that is only the surface. Underneath the magic and monsters lies a simple truth illustrated in story form: the Good is often the worst enemy of the Best. This may sound counter-intuitive. After all, how can two people who both want good things be enemies? Yet consider what happens when one man, such as a police officer, seeks justice against a criminal which another, the brother of the accused, seeks to protect. It is good to follow the law. It is also good to protect your family. Yet when those goods are misordered, then they become enemies. This book proposes, then, that the only way to avoid such happenings and rightly order the goods in life is to hold the Greatest Good, God, above them all.en-USBaylor University projects are protected by copyright.
