Abstract
This internship presentation details the author’s experience as an intern in the Exhibit/Interpretation Department at the Dr Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute in Waco, Texas during the summer of 2014. As an intern the author worked on multiple exhibits for the new Kellum-Rotan exhibit gallery, including research, writing informational text panels, and creating an object inventory. The author also helped plan and execute the museum’s summer event, “Dog Days of Summer,” by designing multiple activity booths and requesting donations from community organizations. The author also worked with the Programs Department by leading tours, giving gallery talks, and assisting with summer camp.
