dc.description.abstractThe importance of a mother’s affectionate communication with her child is significant; thus, the mother/child dyad is central many studies that place value on the significance of a confident, self-assured mother with the ability to express affection to her children in a loving and beneficial way. This research will focus on the mother and the young adult child relationship, collecting data to determine if there is an association between a mother’s affectionate communication and her young adult’s self-esteem and life satisfaction.
